Features of Crystallization in System Ca(NO3) 2-(NH4) 2 HPO4-NH4 OH-H2O

To date, considerable progress has been made using biologically active materials on the basis of substances initially close the chemical and phase compo sition to bone tissue,-calcium orthophosphate.Under in vitro conditions was obtained a series of samples of varying stoichiometry of calcium orthophosphate by precipitation of sparingly soluble compounds of Ca (NO3)2-(NH4) 2HPO4-NH4OH-H2O (Ca / P =1.70), by varying the pH in the range from 5.50 to 13.00.According to analysis of the composition of particu late synthetic powders sample (brushite) obtained by precipitation at pH =5.50, a curve of particle size dis tribution bimodal. This is evidence of the prevalence of these conditions in different size crystals belonging to the two main factions (rmaxl =8.3 microns, rmaxl =48.8 microns). For all other solid phases characterized monomodai particle size distribution, with the value of their mean diameter ranges from 60 to 130 microns. It is shown that varying the pH of the crystallization medi um allows hydroxyapatite deposition method to obtain a different nature and extent of the deviation from stoichi ometry, and brushite crystals or a mixture of acidic and basic calcium phosphates with different morphology, size, specific surface area and the dissolution rate.
