Investigation of Hydride Formation in Technically Pure Titanium Alloy at Hydrogen Saturation from Gas Atmosphere by Means of Short-wave Diffraction of Synchrotron Radiation
Investigation of the time influence of hy drogen saturation from gas atmosphere on hydrogen ac cumulation and hydride formation in the samples bulk of technically pure titanium alloy by means of short wave diffraction of synchrotron radiation at the Kurchatov Synchrotron Radiation Source has shown in this work.Diffraction measurement was carried out in the geometry of the Debye-Scherrer (on the transmis sion) at a wavelength of 0.0432 (A).Titanium a-phase and δ-and e-hydrides are dearly identified at the dif fraction patterns.Intensity of δ-hydride reflection is in creasing with hydrogen concentration increase, which means increase of such hydrides volume content throughout the samples.Reflexes of the e-hydride were found in several samples, but the pattern between the hydrogen concentration and the volume content of this type hydride has not been established.
