A New Method of Optimization of Ladle Treatment Process of Steels

  The inclusion control procedures were developed to control of the steel cleanliness, to detect sources of inclusions origin during the ladle treatment.The ladle treatment teclmology of rail and rail wheel steels were optimized to provide the favourable compo sition of oxide inclusions and to increase steels quality.The method of quantitative metallography, X-ray mi croprobe and fractional gas analysis were applied for the basic oxygen species identification and their quantity determination in the probes sampled from the ladle fur uace, ladle vacuum degasser and tundlsh during the la dle treatment and casting of rail steel.
