Longitudinal Rolling with Macroshear Deformation

  The new method of the longitudinal rolling in helicoid rollers was designed and experimen tally implemented in Baikov Institute of Metallurgy and Materials Science RAS.It allows to improve the struc tare and properties of the rolled strip material, the shape of the finished strip and to reduce the energy force parameters through targeted local macroshear de formation.The deforming tool in the form of rolls with a helicoidal working surface have been designed and the principles of its calculation have been described.The technology of rolling with such rolls has been subjected.The nature of the metal flow during rolling in helical rolls that form the semyproduct has been described.The experimental results of the rolling sample size 8×60×120 nun of aluminum alloy AD1 and steel St.3 have been submitted.The stress-strain state of the met al in a helical rolling have been investigated by finite el ement method with the use of the program Deform 3D.The basic advantages of the new method have been lis ted.
