Influence on Electrocatalysis Properties of Core-shell structured PtCu/CeOx membrane catalysts by Acid Treatment

  Recently, core-shell structured electrocatalysts have attracted increasing attention because of their unique structure in reducing the a mount of Pt.The preparation methods and charac terization techniques for Pt-based core-shell structured electrocatalysts in fuel cells have received much attention.In our study, the PtCu/CeOx cata lysts were manufactured by Ion Beam Sputtering (IBS) technology.It was found that PtCu@Pt core -shell structured catalysts could be obtained by de -alloying method.The obtained catalysts were characterized by High Resolution Transmission Elec tron Microscopes(HRTEM) and X-ray diffraction (XRD), and the cyclic voltammetry (CV) and line.ar sweep voitammetry (LSV) were tested by tri-e lectrode system to analyze the influence of different acid treatment conditions on the membrane electro catalysis performance, the results showed that after the acid treatment: temperature 50 ℃, H2SO4(0.5mol/L), 30 min, the decomposition voltage (Ed) and exchange current density (i0) of membrane sample was-0.227 (V vs SCE) and 4.43 mA/cm2 respectively in balanced condition, even though its platinum loading capacity was only 0.05 mg/cm2, whose performance price ration was very high.
