Partial Oxidation of Methane to Syngas Using Pr0.7 Zr0.3O2-δ:Stability of Oxygen Carrier

With a coprecipitation method, Pr 0.7Zr0.3 O2-δ solid solution was prepared for successive cycle partial oxidation of methane (POM) to syngas in a fixed bed reactor at 850℃ and the reaction sta bility was tested.A sample aged at 1000℃ was also characterized. The oxygen carrier was characterized by X-ray Diffraction, H2 temperature-pro grammed reduction, O2 temperature-programmed desorption, Brunauer-Emmett-Teller surface are a measurement, and X-ray photoelectron spectros copy for the recycled and aged samples.Pr0.7 Zr0.3 O2-δ shows reactive stability and high-temperature stabifity in the POM.
