Effect of Modification and Rolling Deformation on Microstructure and Properties of Fe-C-B Alloy

  In order to improve the properties of Fe-C-B ahoy, effect of modification and hot roll ing on the alloy was investigated.The results show that modification has little effect on the hard phase morphology and properties of the as-cast and heat treated alloy.However, hot rolling has great influ ence on microstructures and impact toughness values of modified Fe-C-B ahoy.The hard phase broken more and more evidently and secondary phase in creased with the increase of rolling deformation.When the rolling deformation is 50%, the impact toughness value of modified Fe-C-B ahoy in creased significantly, reaches 14.60 J/cm2, and the hardness value is 51.7 HRC.
