Surface Response Analysis Excited by an Embedded Moving Load

  In this paper the surface response of a viscous-elastic half-space is analyzed due to a harmonic moving load in a tunnel.The tunnel is simplified as an infinite long Euler-Bernoulli beam without thickness.The Fourier transformation and the Laplace transformation are used to derive the analytical solution of the surface response induced by the harmonic moving loads.Ground vibrations are compared with FE solutions, and results show goodaccordance.Two factors, beam embedded in different depth and loads with different speeds are discussed.
