Train-Induced Subgrade Vibration Level by Field Experiments
To investigate the dynamic characteristics of ground vibrations induced by moving vehi cles in a seasonally frozen region, field experiments were carried out in the Daqing area of China.Acceleration time histories, acceleration vibration level and attenuation law were studied in this pa per.The results show three main aspects: (i) with the distance to the railway track increases, am plitude obviously attenuated, and the time his-tories of acceleration response cycles are not visible; (ii) The acceleration vibration level attenuated with the distance to the railway track increases; (iii) For the point closer to the track center, vertical vibration is larger than the other two direc tions; and when a certain distance from the vibration source, the vertical vibration at-tenuated obvi ously, and vibration in the horizontal direction is greater than it in the other two directions.Field experiments provide actual information, which can accurately analyze the dynamic response of the embankment and the environment from trains; and providing the essential data for the further com parison analysis and verification theoretical methodologies and numerical simulation models.
