3D Reconstruction Method to Analyze and Evaluation Ballast Gravels

  Aggregates such as ballast gravels need to take complex and numerous tests to determine the shape characteristics.The manual test methods are often onerous and inaccurate.Two kinds of 3D model reconstruction are introduced to analyze and evaluate the aggregates in a more detailed and reasonable way.The three-view method uses three orthogonally mounted cameras to capture multiple silhouette views of an object to reconstruct 3D model after the positions and poses of appa ratus are calibrated.The double mirror method uses two mirrors to create five views of an object and reconstruct the 3D model after computing the parameters by analyzing the positions of five silhouette outlines.These two methods can be used to measure the particle size, volume, grading and angu larity index etc.
