A Resonance Case of High-rise Buildings and Industrial Machines

　　Some high-rise buildings of a residential community continually vibrate night and day, and the vibration makes the inhabitants feel uncomfortable even unsafe.Through investigating to the environment and vibration measuring for the building, the reason is found.Because the natural fre quency of the high-rise building is close to the working frequency of stone cutting machine distribu ted surrounding the residential community, the resonance phenomenon occurred.This paper intro duces the vibration measuring, analyzes the measuring data, and concludes the relation of the vi bration response and frequency.Further more, the structure safety and human comfort of the high rise building under the vibration are evaluated according to some relevant standards.Finally, some conclusions and subjects are given to prevent from similar situation and decrease the vibration.
