Accumulative Settlement of Saturated Silt Subgrade Under Cyclic Traffic-loading

  Uneven settlement of silt subgrade under cyclic traffic-loading increases sharply mainte nance costs and brings about track irregularities, which affect driving safety and comfort.In order to investigate the accumulative settlement behavior of silt subgrade, this paper first presents dynam ic model test of no-ballasted track subgrade for high-speed railway, which directly obtains dynamic mechanical properties and the development law of accumulative settlement.Then it conducts dy namic triaxial test of Qiantang River silt, which is used as test model foundation, to investigate the development law of cumulative strain of the silt under cyclic loading.The relationship between the cumulative axial strain of the specimen with the nominal number of cyclic has a unique form under different working conditions, which is independent with confining pressure and cyclic stress ratio.Hence in paper a prediction model of the cumulative strain is proposed, which has a good match with model test.
