Test on Rubber Isolator of Brick Masonry Rural Residential Building

　　As a new type rubber isolator, the SBS modified asphalt pad is designed to the brick ma sonry rural residential building in Zhejiang Ping-hu County.In order to analyze the performance and isolation effect of the rubber isolators, a series of tests are made.The results show that the horizon tal and vertical acceleration are all decreased, the damping of the building is increased, and the characteristic frequency of the whole building is lowered.Using the rubber isolator, the building seismic performance has excellent improvement.The SBS modified asphalt isolation pad is very suitable for the residential constructions widely distributed in the towns and villages in China.
