Emissions from vehicles in the Badaling tunnel,Beijing
Little is known about the characteristics of vehicle emissions in Beijing in recent years.We chose the Badaling tunnel to make the vehicle emission testing.By 7 days measuring, we got the average concentration of PM2.5、 BC、 CO、 NOx (0.283、 0.122、 6.21 、 8.86 mg/m3)and the size distribution of fine particle(aerodynamic diameter from 3nm to 1000nm) number concentration.Traffic conditions (vehicle type, vehicle speed, vehicle volume) and meteorological parameters were also recorded.In this paper we compare the pollutants variation with the change in traffic conditions, then analysis the relationship between thern.Our results suggested that each pollutant increased with the growing proportion of diesel vehicles in the fleet.The average ratio of BC/PM2.5 is 0.44.Both indicated the major pollutant source is diesel vehicle.
