Assessing infiltration and inflow based on quantity and quality in sewer system
A multi-objective optimization model based on flow and conductivity was presented to assess the I/I in sewage system. The method illustrate the dynamic process of infiltration and inflow, divided I/I from flow data observed. It avoid the assumption that nighttime minimum of the diurnal wastewater hydrograph equals the extraneous flows and uncertainty caused by the randomness of variation of conductivity compared with using flow and conductivity separately. The method can calculate I/I in upstream area of the monitoring sites, so it is flexible in practical application.
