Main Technical Innovation and Practice in Nuozhadu Hydropower Station Engineering
The core wall rockfill dam of Nuozhadu hydropower station is 261.5 m high.The installed capacity is 9 × 650 MW in the underground powerhouse, of which the excavation size is 418 m × 29 m × 81.6 m.The maximum discharge of the spillway is 31 318 m3/s under probable maximum flood condition.There are a lot of technical innovations in the designs of the core wall dam, the spillway, the water diversion systems and underground powerhouse, the water diversion and closure, the safety monitoring and so on.Plenty of researches were carried out in every stage of engineering designs.And abundant and valuable research achievements were obtained, which were used in the engineering practice and provided progressive technical guarantees for engineering constructions.
