Research on Key Techniques for Concrete-Faced Rockfill Dam of Liyang PSPS Upper Reservoir
The main dam of upper reservoir of Liyang PumpedStorage Power Station is a concrete faced rockfill dam, with a height of 165m and a volume of 16 million m3.It is fully constructed with materials excavated from the project site and the lithology of rock fill is complicated.In terms of landform, the dam foundation longitudinally presents a W shape, and transversatly dips toward downstream.The differential deformation is a major problem.Duc to poor geological condition, seepage control for the reservoir basin and its perimeter is also prominent.In consideration of the project characteristics, this paper has paid high attention to the key technical issues such as deformation control and seepage control.A systematic research has been made on the following aspects : embankment material features, dam zoning, staged rockfilling, compaction criteria, deformation control measures, seepage control measures, and construction quality control.The research results have been applied in the design and construction of the project.
