Key Technique Research of Concrete Face Rockfill Dam Based on Deep Overburden Layer and Strong Unloading Rockmass

  The dam height of Jinchuan hydropower station in Dadu River is 112 m, the thickness of the overburden layer which contains sand layers is 65 m, and there is strong unloading and cracking rockmass.Thus, the research of Jinchuan concrete face rockfill dam is of important significance to solve the problem of building dam based on dee Poverburden layer and strong unloading rockmass.On the-spot investigation, indoor and outdoor test, numerical calculation, engineering analogy are used to study the distribution characteristics and grain size distribution, and the physical and mechanical indexes are put forward; the sand layers liquefaction problem of overburden layer is studied by means of several methods; the measures are studied to solve the seepage and deformation; the geological features of the rockmass on the both sides are studied to contrast the different parts of the rockmass,and the standards of the toe slab built on the unloading rockmass are put forward; the feasibility of using the excavated material is analysed; the stability against sliding and seepage stability is studied by calculation; the structure and measures of joint sealing are studied.Comparing with similar projects in China, there are innovations in the technique of Jinchuan concrete face rockfitl dam.This research can bring economic benefits to Jinchuan hydropower station, and promote the technique research of concrete face rockfill dam.
