The Fast Filling & Constructing of High Concrete Faced Rock-fill Dam in Narrow Space
Most hydropower stations are built among mountains and valleys.As the construction of hydropower stations goes on, the construction environment becomes worse by day, and the construction site becomes narrower.The Liushu Gou Sinohydro Station Barrage in Xinjiang Kaidou River is a Concrete Face Rock-fill Dam with total filling & constructing quantity of about 151 x 104 m3 for dam body.The dam site is typical canyon terrain, and the river valley presents basically symmetrical V shape.The maximum width of the river bed is only 60 m, the minimum width is less than 30 m.The gradient of natural slope of bothsideis generally 50° ~ 75 °, and the partial is nearly vertical.The construction site is very narrow.The corresponding stockyards of filling materials are distributed in the upstream of the dam.After the completion of the dam foundation excavation, the construction road becomes the bottleneck which restricts damming speed.According to this situation, four temporary roads are arranged for dam body filling & constructing.The dam body is filled and constructed by three stages.Hereinto, the second and third stage was only used four months to.And it was strictly constructed accordance with the construction parameters which determined by rolling test.After sampling test, the dry density is not less than the design dry density for all filling & constructing of the dam site with 100% qualified, and compliances with the specifications and design requirements.By the end of November 2012, the maximum settlement of the dam is 381 mm which accounting for 0.38% of the maximum dam height.It indicates that the dam body has better filling & constructing quality.
