A Statistical Method for Evaluating Leakage of CFRDs

　　Leakage evaluation of concrete faced rockfill dams (CFRDs) is an important issue in dam design, and also has great influence on dam operation and management.Based on the leakage data of 72 constructed CFRDs, a statistical method with using the comprehensive permeability coefficient of the concrete face slab is developed in this paper to evaluate leakage of CFRDs.Both the applications for a grou Pof CFRDs and for a specific CFRD are also given.The new method can be used in comparison and evaluation of the performance of CFRDs.
