Study on Mechanism of the Carbon Cycle and Greenhouse Effect of Hydropower Resources
Hydropower is a clean renewable energy and plays an important role in the development of national economy and society.Most countries in the world have priority to develop hydropower.Development and utilization of hydropower resources is beneficial to the environment and ecology protection because it can reduce the environmental polltution by coal-fired power generation.Hydropower development can also bring a range of environmental problems.Emission of greenhouse gases derived tom reservoir is an emerging and controversial scientific issues, and its environmental effects has been the central issue in dispute around power generation in recent years.The paper puts emphases on the greenhouse gases emissions from reservoirs in aspects of its dispute, production and emission means based on the analysis of ecological problems caused hydropower development.Finally, summarize the differences on greenhouse gas emissions from reservoirs between our country and abroad by analyzing the present situation on greenhouse gas emissions from reservoirs.
