Research on the Ecological Function of the ENGO in the Social Governance--From the Perspective of Environmental Public Interest Litigation

  As the main body of social governance, environmental non-governmental organization, ENGO for short, has become an indispensable force of the effective social governance.It plays an important role in dealing with the ecological crisis and resolving social contradictions.And it has a strong ecological function, such as participation in environmental publicity and supervision, advocating green consumption etc..But because of institutional reasons, on the protecting the public interests and promoting sustainable development, its function has not been effectively played.From the perspective of environmental public interest litigation, this article studies the obstacles of ENGO in playing ecological functions.Through the design of the institution, we encourage the public participation in environmental governance by the non-governmental organization, and perfect the mechanism of environmental public interest litigation to realize the effective participation in the social governance.
