Role Positioning of the Government in the Diversified Supplies of Domestic Public Products

　　Due to the long-standing value orientation of the commonality of public products among a majority of people and the indelible extemality, free ride and other phenomena existing in the supply of public products, the academia believe that the government has to provide public products when the market failure occurs.In addition, the government was in charge of everything during the planned economy period, which was accompanied by the shortage of fund and over-sized scale when the government supplied public products.Therefore, a variety of supply problems arose, including decreasing efficiency, inadequate supply, rent-seeking, etc.With the deepening research of the academia in pubic products, they have put forward the idea of diversified joint supply of public products.However, there are relatively a small number of demarcations of the boundary when the diversified subjects provide public products.The supply boundary of each subject is vague.Besides, the crossing and repetitive supplies among the subjects also happen.Therefore, it is of great value to position the role of the government which serves as one of the subjects in the supply of public products and explore deeply into the function and responsibility the government should take on in the supply process, thus regulating the supply pattern of public products.
