Analysis of CDIO Training Mode in the Role of Engineering Education Reform

　　CDIO mode is a new and effective training method for engineering education in United States and Canada.However, such a concept is still unfamiliar in China.The aim of this work is to introduce the CDIO mode, and describe its contents, standards and levels of engineering talents training.The unique feature and advantage of such a training mode is analyzed in the style of case teaching by characterizing the training purpose, curriculum program, teaching arrangement, and practice activity.By discussing the feasibility and compatibility in a practical engineering reform in a typical university in China, it is concluded that the CDIO mode can be applied.
