Comparison and Analysis of Internal Governance Structure between Red Cross and One Foundation
The internal governance structure of a public charity directly determines its development and the realization of its goals.With the development of the market economy and the deepening of the political system reform, public charities have developed rapidly and are playing an important role in resource pooling, public services, social governance and policy advocacy, etc.But public welfare organizations are developing with the mix of some black sheep.For example, One Foundation has undergone a rapid development in a short time due to its good reputation among the public, whereas Red Cross is caught in the trouble of unprecedented crisis of faith and downturn after the occurrence of Guo Meimei incident.This paper is intended to expose the similarity and difference between the governance structures of Red Cross and One Foundation to help them make up for each others deficiencies by learning from each other by comparative study of the three key factors in their internal governance, i.e.organizational structure, financial management system and organizational legal status, so as to provide information basis for the continuous reform and development of Chinas public welfare organizations.
