Rethink About the System of Protection Street Children in Chengdu,China

　　In recent years, street children in China have drawn much public attention.Chinese Government has always attached importance to the rescue and protection of the street children.Since 2003, government has built above 130 rescuing protection centers of street children over the country.Chengdu Rescue Protection Center of Street Children is the biggest one in Southwest China.Through ongoing efforts in the last 10 years, Chengdu center has built government-led, three-dimensional coverage, multi-lateral cooperation mechanism in protecting street children.Though made considerable achievement, there are also deficiencies in the system, which is difficult to meet the demand of the social development.The paper describes the system of protection street children in Chengdu, analyses the characteristic and inadequate of the system, and offers some improvement suggestions.
