EmployeesJob Satisfaction at a Super Specialty Hospital

  Job satisfaction of employee is an significant key for the success of any organization.Therefore, job satisfaction is an essential attribute which is commonly measured by an organization to identify and address the causes of job dissatisfaction of employees and to promote organizational effectiveness.The paper examines the level of employees job satisfaction at a Super-specialty hospital in Hyderabad, India.It is a non-profit, private hospital under the leadership of a Board of Trustees from India and the USA.The data for this paper has been collected from the respondents by administering a questionnaire consisting of twenty five variables relating to various job content and job context factors.Quantification of the responses was made on a 5-point scale.Sample size of the study is 50 respondents from six departments which are considered crucial for the success of the hospital.The study found that the employees job satisfaction is at a reasonably low level relating to the hygiene factors and moderately good relating to the motivators.Since job satisfaction of employee, particularly with the hygiene factors is central to the provision of quality patient care in the health care sector.The current findings open up opportunities for further research.
