Pharmaceutical Price Regulation in China:Methods and Recommendations
This paper examines Chinas pharmaceutical price regulation methods and why they are effective in controlling excessive price level.Unlike other literature, it demonstrates that it is the interaction of a series of complicated factors including the erosion of medical ethics, the improper regulation method, the fragmented regulation administration and the system of health care delivery that converges at hospitals, rather than the combination of pharmaceutical prescribing and dispensing that result in the regulation failure.Authors think that transforming the regulation method should be a more realistic approach of pharmaceutical price control.
