Research on the Impact of Bilateral Aid on Recipient CountriesGrowth
Developed countries provide bilateral aid to developing countries every year.But whether bilateral aid can be strong external resources used in efficacious way to promote recipient countries growth, has attracted more attention.Bilateral aid can be divided into government loans and grants, so the impact of these two types to recipients economy is different.This article firstly describes different academic perspectives about the impact of bilateral aid on recipients growth.Secondly, it makes recommendations for improving effectiveness of aid from both donor and recipient countries perspectives.Then this paper takes Chinas bilateral aid to Africa as an example to verify the effect of bilateral aid.Thus developed countries should assist developing countries in accordance with the latters conditions which can let recipient countries make better use of aid resources, and join in the world economic activities as soon as possible.
