An Aging Population and Its Impacts on Medical Insurance Expenditure in China

　　This work builds up a value at risk (VAR) model showing the impact of an aging population on medical insurance expenditure.Linear regression analysis is used by choosing specific and distinct variables.The VAR estimates suggest that the medical insurance expenditure is significantly influenced by the number of insured active-employees and retirees, respectively.
