Study on Street Children Relief Model of Baoji Relief Management Station
The problem of street kids not only brings great challenges to our social security, but also endangers the legitimate rights and interests of the children themselves.The mandatory salvation and the models which aimed at sending them home are unable to meet the developing needs of relief and protection work of the street children.It is imperative to establish a street children relief system which is donated by government, encourages social participation and emphasizes prevention.The Baoji Relief Management Station makes the Baoji Xinxing Street Children Relief and Protection Center and the Relief Station cooperate closely through the form of government purchasing service..In addition, Baoji Youth Workers Association was incorporated into source prevention period which helped the high-risk group get rid of their unfavorable situation by intervening early and using the method of psychological correction.The introduction of Non-governmental Organizations and social groups not only plays their professional functions to improve the quality and efficiency of street kids relief, but also reduces government staffing and costs, and the roles and functions of relief station were changed.This paper aims at analyzing the model of Baoji Relief Management Station, summarizing its advanced experience and ideas and discussing its implications for public administration.
