Problems of Chinas Government Crisis Management and Relevant Countermeasures
Frequent crises have become hot issues, both at home and abroad and have brought huge losses to the People and countries, seriously affecting the countrys economic and public psychology.As the government is the main body of public crisis management, effectively and timely processing and solving crises is thus an important manifestation of crisis management abilities of a government.Although the Chinese government has been improving a lot to withstand tests in recent years, there is still a big gap between our government and developed countries.This article, using a related theory, identifies the prominent problems of crisis management as mainly the following: Weak sense of crisis, response and ability to recover; lack of independent, permanent crisis emergency agencies and effective coordination between government departments; insufficient disclosure of information; inappropriate methods to deal with the social media and the people; as well as defective laws and regulations of crisis management.I propose our government should abide by the principles of efficiency, safety, legality and other solutions regarding the current problems the Chinese government is facing.
