Study on the Relationship between Group Events and Online Public Opinion in China

　　Online public opinion has positive impacts on group events.It endows people with relatively equal rights to speak and widens the channels for democracy.The pressure from network public opinion forces the government to attach importance to the interest of the people; network public opinion will help the government to perceive risks, and prevent the occurrence of group events.While its negative influence can raise or worsen group incidents by enlarging the negative effects of group events, which will increase governance difficulties.Therefore, the channels and contents of information dissemination are difficult to be controlled; so are the information transmission speed, time and space.Meanwhile, group events have impacts on online public opinion.Group events are hot topics in the Internet and provide issues for Internet Medias; the participants behavior strategies, the number and enthusiasm of Internet users will affect the trend of online public opinion.The benefit subjects who arouse group incidents and the nature of stimulating events can influence the form of online public opinion.
