Relationship of Behavior,Performance and income of Agricultural Technician:Transformation of Agricultural Technology Achievements in China
One of the closely associated factors with extension behavior and extension performance of the agricultural technician is income distribution mechanism.The purpose of this article is to examine the relationship between income mechanism of agricultural technician and their extension behavior and extension performance based on the survey data of rice science and technology demonstration farmers in 40 counties of 13 provinces of China.The results show that social environment of rice science and technology extension has positive effect on extension behnvior and extension performance.The income level of agricultural technician is still the major factor affecting their extension behavior and extension performance.The better extension behavior and extension performance can be achieved when their income reached 0.9~1.0 and more times of the average level of urban staff and workers.The income structure of agricultural technician should be optimized, because their basic wage is lack of incentive to their extension behavior and extension performance.With the increasing of their commercial income, their extension behavior and extension performance can be improved.Compared with their educational background and technical post title, their work experiences have more impact on their extension behavior and extension performance.
