Management for Electronic Resources Metadata

摘要：

　　In Big Data Era, the electronic resources metadata are constantly increasing, and the traditional management model of metadata need to be changed for libraries.At first, we research the Lifecycle of electronic resources metadata, which is divided into nine stages from metadata plan to metadata deletion.Then we propose a management architecture for the electronic resources metadata based on the metadata lifecycle and the metadata management environment.The management activities for electronic resources metadata mainly consist of metadata integration, metadata warehouse management and metadata utilization.And metadata quality management always runs through the process.In this paper, we provide a systematic method to manage the electronic resources metadata from various sources, which facilitates the utilization of electronic resources in libraries.
