Study on the sulphoaluminate cement-asphalt composite mortar for high-speed railway repair

  Cement and asphalt mortar (short for CA mortar) is the key compo nent of high speed railway, which determines the structure safety and drive safety of train.The repair materials for CA mortar need the characteristics of compatibility strength and elastic modulus, fast hardening and high early strength, nice flow ability, volume stability and durability.The present repair materials for CA mortar are mainly resin-based material, which are too expen sive to be used widely.The traditional sulphoaluminate cement based repair mortar could not be used as the repair materials for CA mortar due to its high strength and elastic modulus and bad flow ability.The present study is to develop a new sulphoaluminate cement-asphalt emulsion composite mortar for CA mortar repair.A blended cement of sul phoalurninate cement and Portland cement was used to guarantee the fast hard ening time, high early strength and stable late strength development.The re tarder and accelerator were used to guarantee both the 4h early strength and workability time.The asphalt emulsion with high volume content was used to decrease the modulus.Based on these work, the mechanical properties, rheo logical properties, workable properties of repair mortar were studied.
