The Establishment of Agriculture Sustainable Development Index System of Hengyang and Evaluation Research of It

　　Based on present situation of agricultural production in Hengyang city, this paper constructed evaluation index system of agricultural sustainable dev.elopment level which included four subsystems named the agricultural production, agricultural economy, rural society and agricultural resources environment, containing 16 indexes.After the preliminary evaluation we got a conclusion that arable land decrease, fall in the quality of cultivated land, agricultural water conservancy facilities deficiency and the unstable agricultural science and technology teams were the main limiting factors of sustainable development of agriculture in Hengyang city, based on the index system for agricultural sustainable development level of Hengyang.We built the sustainable development model according to the limiting factors and took land development and consolidation, strengthening of the agricultural infrastructure; speeding up of the construction of agricultural extension services and active promotion of agriculture standardized production as its core content.
