Comparative Study on 3D Evaluation and Self-Evaluation of Jeans Fitting Satisfaction

Jeans are one of the worlds most popular articles of casual dress and an integral part of womens daily attire.Because tiie fit aspect of clothing contributes significantly to consumers degree of satisfaction witii jeans,we sought to identify specific factors that contribute to wearers overall gratification. To better understand the parts that affect how well clothing fits its user,we divided tiie lower body into seven parts and compared the 3D evaluation and self-evaluation results of 93 women and their satisfaction towards tiiese areas. We administered a questionnaire survey to understand wearers requirements regarding fit.Using eye-movement apparatus,we tested the contribution of each part to the overall satisfaction score and obtained a calculation formula for the degree of satisfaction. We then compared tiie relevance between each item and tiie overall satisfaction which led us to obtaining a regression equation for jeans fit satisfaction to provide some reference for jeans designers and patternmakers during tiie design and production process.
