A Study on the Factors Impacting College Students Cervical Vertebrae Health

  The problem of sub-healthy cervical vertebrae in youngsters has been of wide concern in recent years.This study summarized factors impacting cervical vertebra health of youngsters through a questionnaire and quantization of cervical vertebra usage,and analyzed tiie relationship between cervical vertebra healtii and each factor witii statistical principles.The purpose of this study was to promote cervical vertebra protection awareness,prevent cervical disease by analyzing the causes,and provide a data foundation for tiie design of a tractive pillow in the future.The results of the study show: 1) gender has significant relevance to cervical healtii;2) due to tiie lack of physical exercise among college students,the impact of exercise on their cervical healtii is not clear;3) bowing the head or keeping the same posture for long periods and sleeping in a seat will affect cervical healtii;4) neck use varies depending on students majors,which may be a cause of sub-healthy cervical vertebrae;5) pillow height has a certain impact on cervical health,and more female students than male students prefer low pillows;and 6) pillow replacement frequency among college students is low and without periodicity.Health-care pillows are rarely used.
