Study on the Symbolic Colors in Contemporary Design based on the Chinese Traditional Metaphysical Theory of Five Elements

摘要：

　　The theory of Five colors originated from Chinese traditional Temporal-Space Ontology which interpreted the universe as a whole that was composed with Five Elements.The symbolic meaning of color consequently was emphasized.However,tiie deconslructive method which Iried to inherit tiie traditional color culture in contemporary design ignored the cultural meaning of color and turned it into the pure form factor.So tiie positive application of tiie inheritance of the traditional color philosophy need to be studied,which would reinterpret the new symbol system of color and involve the existing experience of contemporary people.
