The Influence of Fabric Properties on the Ease between Body and Garment

  Tests were carried out for evaluating 42 properties of 6 types of woolen fabric and tiie fabric were then made into tiie same style.By using a 3D scanner,the three-dimensional point cloud data of the standard mannequin and tiie 6 pieces of suit were obtained.Based on correlation,factor analysis and grey correlation analysis,the influence of fabric properties on the area and distance ease at typical locations between body and garment was discussed.The result showed tiiat warp-wise delayed-elastic recovery angle,weft-wise delayed-elastic recovery angle, average breaking elongation, weft-wise stiffness and weight are tiie individual fabric property tiiat are most closely correlated with distance ease between body and garment;warp-wise stiffness,weight and warp-wise elastic recovery angle are most closely correlated witii tiie area ease between tiie body and garment.
