Research on Warmth Retention of Goose Down

摘要：

　　This paper explores tiie morphological structure,compression property,air permeability and warmtii retention of goose down.The first tiiree properties influence obviously on warmth retention.For tiiree thermal materials-wool,acrylic and goose down,their properties were measured.The results show that compared to wool and acrylic,tiie compression property of goose down is better.This leads to more space in goose down assembly.The air permeability of goose down is tiie worst.More static air is stored in the space,so its warmth retention is the best.Goose down is an excellent natural thermal material.It can be used as a textile for cool weather apparel.
