Determination of Thickness and Type in Fabric Design:Steady-state Modeling and Numerical Algorithms

  Based on tiie model of steady-state heat and moisture from skin to environment transfer through fabrics,two inverse problems are put forward.One is tiie inverse problem of thickness design (IPTD) for given fabric materials;anotiier is the inverse problem of material design (IPMD) for given fabric thickness.Iterative algorithms for solution to the IPTD and IPMD are constructed by means of a direct search method (Golden Section Method) of one-dimensional minimization problems and direct problems solving.The results of numerical simulation show tiie effectiveness of the presented algorithms and validity of the proposed inverse problems.
