A 3D Heat and Moisture Transfer Model for Clothed Human Body
To predict the tiiermal responses of human body wearing different clothing under various environments,a 3-D heat and moisture transfer model is developed by tiie finite element method (FEM).The more realistic geometry is considered in the human body model.Meanwhile, tiie water vapor diffusion, moisture absorption/desorption,liquid water penetration due to capillary pressure,evaporation/condensation and phase change heat generation are considered in the clotiiing. Also,a multi-layer clotiiing simulation is carried out by defining tiie air element. Finally, the model is validated by comparing the simulation with experimental results in both undressed and dressed conditions. It reveals that tiie simulation is compatible with tiie experimental results, indicating tiiat the model can be applied in clothing or environment design.
