The Study of Biomechanical Models on the Sports Bra Strap
Excessive breast movement causes breast discomfort,pain and even sagging.Previous experiment research shows tiiat sports bras can support breast and reduce breast movement,while shoulder straps of sports bras play a critical role.Previous experimental studies focused on evaluating breast movement under different wearing and activity conditions.However,so far,no published paper studies shoulder straps design for improving tiie function of tiie sports bra.In this study,based on two assumptions,the biomechanical models of shoulder straps are built.The biomechanical models are used to analyze tiie function of tiie shoulder slrap witii different width and in different positions on the shoulder.The results of tiiis study show that wider shoulder straps are more effective in reducing the breast forces tiian tiie narrow ones,and the function of shoulder straps is different when the shoulder straps locate on different positions on tiie shoulder.The study not only can help to evaluate the function of sports bra with different shoulder straps but also give a theory basis for optimizing the design of the shoulder straps.
