The Influence of Electric Energy Consumption on Circular Weft-knitting Machine
Carbon emissions (C02 emissions) have become a major focus attracting much global attention.In regard to weft knitted products,the electricity consumption by weft-knitting machine accounts highly for carbon emissions.This study investigates tiie unit electricity consumption by circular weft knitting machine during tiie production process of eight typical knitted fabrics as well as two common circular weft-knitting machines under three different speeds.In addition,tiiis study also measures the influence of different machines,fabric structures and speed on the circular weft-knitting machine while processing a unit product.Our research shows that the correlation between gauge and unit electric energy consumption of circular weft-knitting machine is significantly positive.Our experimental results also reveal tiiat fabric structure is a main influencing factor on electricity consumption.Moreover,tiiere is a significant positive correlation between rotational speed and unit electric energy consumption of the same circular weft-knitting machine.
