Some nitrotriazole-substituted high explosives
5-amino-3-notro-l,2,4-triazole (ANTA) and 4-amino-5-nitro-l,2,3-triazole (ANTZ) are both insensitive explosives.Because of nitrogen atom contained triazole ring with rich-electrons for ANTA and ANTZ, they are regared as nucleophilic reagents, and can react with some of chloro-substituted nitroaromatics to yield ANTA-and ANTZ-substituted energetic materials (explosives), such as 2-(5-amino-3-nitro-1,2,4-triazol-l-yl)-3,5-dinitropyridine (PRAN), 2-(4-amino-5-nitro-l,2,3-triazol-2-yl)-3,5-dinitropyridine (LLM133), and so on.In an analogous manner, other nitrotrizoles including 3,5-dinitro-l,2,4-triazole (DNTA), 4,5-dinitro-l,2,3-triazole (DNTZ) and their mononitrotriazoles can also react with some of chloro-substituted nitroaromatics to yield nitrotriazole-substituted explosives. These nitrotriazole-substituted explosives are reviewed in this papers.
