Study on effects of additive Al on detonative properties and thermal safety of emulsion explosives
This work presents the effects of Al content on the detonative properties and thermal performances of emulsion explosives.Detonation velocity of emulsion explosives with additive Al ranging from 5% to 35 % is measured.A comparative analysis on the dependences of detonation velocity on confinement is carried out. This study is also complemented with Hess method to obtain quantitative estimation of brisance of tested explosives. In addition, influences of additive At on thermal behaviors of emulsion explosives are studied experimentally using C-g0 micro thermal analyzer. To compare the thermal stability, the thermodynamics and kinetics parameters are calculated and analyzed.
