A hot-spot model of energetic materials explosion initiation by laser pulse:fusion influence
A hot-spot model of explosives laser initiation in the vicinity of metal inclusion that takes into account fusion processes was suggested. The calculations of the heating dynamics and the phase boundaries displacement in the inert medium were carried out.The dependencies of the maximum temperature on the inclusions surface on its radius and the laser pulse energy density were obtained. The radius of the inclusion that experiences the highest temperature raise was estimated. The critical laser pulse energy density was calculated and the hot-spot formation simulation was carried out for different inclusions radii. The melting consideration leads to the critical energy density increasing. There are two modes of ignition. The small inclusions case characterizes by the entirely inclusions melting before the reaction self-acceleration.In the opposite case of big inclusions the hot-spot forms before the inclusion has entirely melted.
