Prediction of critical ignition temperature of HNS with two-dimensional thermal explosion theory and its experimental verification
The algorithm of the critical ignition temperature was analysed with two-dimensional thermal explosion theory.The relationship between slenderness ratio and critical ignition parameters was calculated.The critical ignition temperature of HNS pellets with different characteristic sizes and slenderness ratios were calculated by using the chemical thermodynamics and kinetics parameters of HNS.By carrying out the cook-off tests of three sizes HNS pellets in different ambient temperatures, the ignition temperatures were measured.Test results and calculation results are approximately consistent.The results show that critical ignition temperature is affected by the explosive species, sizes and its chemical thermodynamics and kinetics parameters.The more the pellet radius or slenderness ratio is, the lower the critical ignition temperature is.
